First edition of NOAA's newsletter "The Downlink"First edition of NOAA's newsletter "The Downlink"

The United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has launched a newsletter "The Downlink". The Downlink will provide international and interagency experts working with space-based information with short updates on all of NOAA's current and future satellite programs, and also current information on the budget cycle. Published twice per year, The Downlink will also include a feature article on exciting NESDIS developments and examples of NOAA's satellite imagery and derived products.

The first issue of the newsletter features articles on NOAA's newest polar-orbiting environmental satellite, Suomi NPP, as well as updates on other satellite missions.
