Mozambique National Cartography and Remote Sensing Centre (CENACARTA)

CENACARTA (National Cartography and Remote Sensing Centre) is an independent centre under the Ministry of Agriculture. The main tasks of CENACARTA are to provide baseline GIS data, facilitate purchase of satellite data, and provide topographic and thematic maps.

CENACARTA is a member of the Mozambique Coordination mechanism for disaster management, thus contributes to disaster management. Data is being provided to INGC within its activities in emergency response and disaster risk reduction. CENACARTA collaborates with INGC through training activities on the processing and analysis of geospatial data.
