From 20 to 21 November 2012, the Commission on Open Source Geospatial Technologies of the International Cartographic Association (ICA) will be hosting a hands-on workshop on “Open Source, Open Standards, Open Data for Geospatial”.
This event follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which the ICA signed in 2011, jointly with the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo), with a view to develop global collaboration opportunities in the field of open-source GIS software and data for academia, industry and government organizations. This hands-on workshop will allow the participants to learn more about Open Source tools for GIS and mapping on the Web.
