International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) – 2007 African Regional Conference, Abuja, Nigeria, 3 – 5 December 2007. With the following theme: Space for Africa: Path to Knowledge and Development. Deadline for Call for Papers: 15 October 2007. This conference is jointly sponsored by the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) of Nigeria and the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and co-sponsored by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UN-OOSA). The Space for Africa conference will specifically highlight the role that space science and technology can play in the enhancement of sustainable development in Africa. This includes, inter-alia, knowledge generation, system development and applications of space science and technology for public good, with emphasis on the role of decision makers in sustainable development efforts. The IAA Conference will provide a platform that can attract the scientific and engineering community to accomplish the specified goals.
