2nd African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development

The 2nd African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, hosted by South Africa in Pretoria on 2-5 October 2007, is the second in the series with the first one having been held in Abuja in November 2005. The conference is aimed at ministers, senior government officials, diplomatic representatives, chief executives of space-related programmes in African countries, policy makers and decision makers concerned with various aspects of Africa’s development, with emphasis on the current and potential contributions of space technology towards addressing Africa’s development challenges. The conference will also provide an opportunity for space professionals to engage with experts from a variety of disciplines relating to developmental issues.
