The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) makes possible the coordination between governments and the humanitarian community in case of disasters. Thus, OCHA established its presence in Sri Lank after the 2004 Tsunami.
Its main activities are: Humanitarian planning process, information management, disaster planning and response.
