Bushfire and Natural Hazards Cooperative Research Center

The Bushfire and Natural Hazards Cooperative Research Centre (Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC) was founded in 2013 in Australia. It focuses on building a more disaster resilient Australia and reducing the human, social, economic and environmental costs from bushfires and other natural hazards. The Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC coordinates a national research effort in exploring the causes, consequences and mitigation of natural hazards, including bushfires, flood, storm, cyclone, heatwave, earthquake and tsunami conducted by all of Australia and New Zealand's fire and emergency service authorities, land management agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations and leading experts.
