Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) has signed an agreement with the South African National Space Agency’s (SANSA), which allows the African institution to access and download imagery captured by SPOT 6 and SPOT 7 satellites. Additionally, a Direct Receiving Station was installed at SANSA’s facilities in order to cover the entire country (1 221 000 km²) at a very high resolution.
Airbus Defence and Space offers data on crop monitoring through SPOT 6 and SPOT 7 satellite imagery to the Agricultural Monitoring and Information System Project (TARBIL), a programme coordinated by the Turkish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, and funded by the Ministry of Development.
The satellite imagery provider Astrium has announced on its website that they have entered into an agreement with Google to provide high-resolution imagery from its satellites for Google Maps, Google Earth and other Google products and services.
