Heavy rain, which began 3 days ago, has caused important floods in the southern part of the U.K. About 1.000 inhabitants have been evacuated so far. The authorities have put in place a warning system in all Southern England. Altogether 152 overflow alerts have been activated by the Ministry of Environment.
The areas that are particularly at risk are Sommerset, Dorset and Devon.
