This International and Interdisciplinary conference is dedicated to scientific and technical methods of environmental information and communication. Special regard is given to the central role of Geoinformation. The CEIC conference will provide a forum for the presentation of scientific papers illustrating the efforts of the research community, professional papers describing the cutting-edge methods employed by environmental and geoinformation organizations and companies, furthering their national as well as international collaborative efforts to advance knowledge and techniques of environmental information and communication.
Among the keynote speakers are experts from various continents, Russia, China, U.S.A. Europe, and of course from South America.
One of the various highlights of this conference will be a Panel on Environmental and Risk Communication including Gustavo Wilches-Chaux, Risk Communication-Expert, Environmentalist and Environmental Education Expert in Latin America and Lisbeth Fog, Scientific Journalist and Academic in Science Communication.
