Rapid mapping products should be used with precaution given their short time to produce. The producer is not responsible for how they are used. Possible limitations on thematic coverage are mentioned within the map products.

These products have undergone an internal double checking process.

Higher resolution products with associated metadata can be found at the following Rapid Mapping Server: http://sertit.u-strasbg.fr/SITE_RMS/2010/20_rms_iran_2010/20_rms_iran_2010.html

**A comparison between the archive (QuickBird 24/12/2009 and 02/08/2009) and the post-event image (Ikonos-2 23/12/2010) has been realised

  • Urban activity seems to be very similar (traffic, parking area and population concentration)
  • No anomalous population concentration is detected
  • No rubble observed in the street or around the buildings
  • Where visible electric poles are still in place
  • Fence walls are still linear
  • No collapsed building has been observed

Using this pair of images (before and after event): no obvious damage is detected within the AOI covering Nematabad area, as it can be seen on the examples illustrated in the attached document.

According to this analysis, no damage map has been produced.
All the EO data requested have been received and the tasking plan is finished, activation closed.
