Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC), University of Wisconsin-Madison

SSEC engineers and scientists develop and utilize space-, aircraft- and ground-based instrumentation to collect and analyze observations of the Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, land surface, and other planetary atmospheres to improve our understanding of weather, climate, and atmospheric processes. Through this research they produce new resources, products, and tools that are helping to improve the accuracy and timeliness of weather forecasts.

Earth Observation Center (EOC) at DLR

The Earth Observation Center (EOC) at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) consists of the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD) and the Remote Sensing Technology Institute (IMF) and is the center of competence for earth observation in Germany.  The EOC conducts research in the field of remote sensing in order to find solutions to global challenges, including the environment and climate, mobility and planning, prevention and management of natural catastrophes, and civil security.
