Argentina Mario Gulich Institute for Advanced Space Studies

The Mario Gulich Institute for Advanced Space Studies was created in 2001 by the Argentinian National Space Activities Commission (CONAE) and the National University of Córdoba, with a strong participation of the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The aim of the Institute is to promote the development of new applications for disaster management and health in Latin America and to train human resources for the application of space information.

CONAE through the Gulich Institute has conducted several training activities in disaster management and health applications in the region. Since 2009, the Gulich Institute has started to develop a 2-year Master course on Space Applications for Early Warning and Response to Emergencies, open to Latin American participants.
