Contributions of Remote Sensing in this subject are focused on various applications to characterize the territory, for monitoring its behavior, modeling the relationships, changes and impact on the environment, in order to promote the rational use of resources, the conservation of the environment and, in this way, to improve communities’ welfare. Interested audiences are invited to present their contributions on applications and researches in the field of geodata use for Earth Observation.
New technologies and Internet are offering new ways to access and to analyze geospatial information, both in the real world and virtual spaces. In recent years the field of the application of traditional geographic information systems has been expanded to intelligent systems and relational databases.
